Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, known for keeping his family life private, recently shared a rare and heartwarming moment with fans during his concert in Manchester, UK. The video has now gone viral, becoming a special treat for fans who were unable to attend the concert.

Despite being one of the most popular figures in the entertainment industry, Diljit has always made it a point to keep his family out of the public eye to ensure their safety and privacy. However, in the UK, he introduced his mother and sister to the audience, creating an emotional highlight of the night.

A video from the concert quickly went viral, showing Diljit walking toward an elderly woman in the audience while performing his emotional song Haas Haas. As he sang the heartfelt lyrics, "Dil tenu de ditta main taan soneya, Jaan tere kadma ch rakhi hoyi ae" (I have given you my heart and dedicate my life at your feet), Diljit revealed, "This is my mom." 

With great respect, he held her hand, raised it in the air, and bowed down in front of her. This affectionate moment brought tears to his mother’s eyes as she embraced her son, much to the delight of the cheering crowd. Diljit then pointed to another woman standing beside his mother and said, "And this is my sister," sharing a rare glimpse of his close-knit family.

When Diljit Dosanjh Opened Up About Being Distant From His Family

In the past, Diljit has been open about his childhood struggles, but rarely does he mention his family in interviews. He once shared that he left home at the age of 11 to live with his maternal uncle. In a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his podcast, he explained how this early separation from his parents created distance between them. "I moved to the city and stayed in a small room. There was no TV, no phone. It cost money to even call home, and gradually I started becoming distant from my family," he recalled.

On the work front, Diljit recently appeared in the film Amar Singh Chamkila and Crew and will soon kick off his highly anticipated India tour.
