Dhanashree Verma, a YouTuber-choreographer, posted a new statement on Instagram, denying rumours of her split from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. This is the first time she has mentioned it after causing a stir on social media by removing her surname 'Chahal' from her Instagram profile.
Dhanashree Verma On Divorce Rumours
“A humble request to you all to not believe in any sort of rumours pertaining to our relationship. Kindly, put an end to it. Love and light to everyone,” her Instagram Stories caption read.
She made this statement after the cricketer had posted the same on his Instagram account.
Following Dhanashree's Instagram name change, fans immediately theorised that there might be a problem between the two. The latest story by Yuzvendra Chahal about starting a 'new life' only fueled the fire even further. Additionally, the rumours sparked a meme-fest on Twitter.
Dhanashree and Yuzvendra got married in a private ceremony in December 2020. The duo frequently appears in one other's social media posts. She also accompanies him to his cricket matches.
In 2020, Dhanashree told Hindustan Times how the couple first met and sparks flew instantly. “It started off as a student-teacher relationship in April. He had seen my dance videos on YouTube and knew about my work. During the lockdown, Yuzi decided to learn a few new things, including dance. So, he got in touch with me and we started our classes. Slowly we became friends and sort of felt a connect,” she said.
Talking about the cricketer, she also added, "Yuzi is humble, down-to-earth, friendly and a total family guy. His humility bowled me over. With the kind of values I’ve been brought up with, I actually wanted someone like him as my life partner. We both are ambitious and supportive of each other’s professions. We both are fun-loving, so there’s never going to be a dull moment.”
