In one of the images, a baby onesie was placed on Devoleena's baby bump with the words "You can stop asking now" imprinted on it, a playful nod to those eagerly awaiting the news.
The couple also shared a touching message with the announcement: "Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life."
Following the announcement, several celebrities and close friends of the couple showered them with congratulatory messages.
Devoleena tied the knot with her boyfriend, Shanawaz Shaikh, in a court ceremony in December 2022, surrounded by close family and friends, opting for an intimate affair rather than a lavish celebration. The actor, who faced considerable backlash for her interfaith marriage, has openly discussed their relationship and Shanawaz's unwavering support during difficult times.

The actor spoke with Pinkvilla about her wedding, her relationship with Shaikh, and her response to all the trolls. The actor claimed, "I feel that when I was a teenager, I always looked forward to a royal wedding. But during the COVID-19 lockdown, I realised the value of money and many other aspects of life. I believe there will come a time when we must buck the trend and make the public understand that only making your wedding day big does not make you a royal."
She said her husband is a dietician and fitness trainer who also owns a cable and internet business. They dated for three years after the first meeting at a gym about four years ago. Devoleena admitted that she was the one who proposed to him and initiated the wedding as well. She admitted, "I wasn't doing well emotionally in those ways. I had a back injury, was anxious, and was on the verge of depression. He looked after me even though my family wasn't here. He knows how to control my aggression and anger and calm me down."
The actor also responded to the trolls she had experienced following her wedding. She said that she had received photos of refrigerators and suitcases on social media and claimed that she would have been trolled regardless of who she had married. Instead of making negative wishes, she advised her haters to wish her a happy marriage. She said, "Trolling amounts to harassment and can have an adverse effect on a marriage. I would have returned it to everyone on social media in my own way if my husband hadn't stopped me from responding to these trolls."
