Demi Lovato is pansexual: American pop star Demi Lovato has always been open about her mental health and addiction battles. However, now the singer recently opened up about her sexual orientation and came out as a pansexual. The 28-year-old singer revealed that she's attracted to "anything really", referring to all genders, and she's proud to be a part of the LGBTQ community.
"I don't know. I'm so fluid now, and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was super closeted off," the Dancing with the Devil singer said on Saturday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
"I heard someone call the LGBTQIA+ community the alphabet mafia," she recalled, adding "That's it! That's what I'm going with."

The singer also reflected on how her engagement to actor Max Ehrich, which was called off in September, affected her views on her sexuality. "I was engaged to a man last year. I totally thought I'd be married, maybe pregnant right now, and that's not the case," she said. Talking about having children in future, Lovato added, “I used to. I think if anything I want to adopt. I was engaged to a man last year," she continued, referring to ex-fiancé Ehrich. "I totally thought I'd be married, maybe pregnant by now. And that's not the case."

Recently, Lovato released her YouTube Originals docuseries Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil. The Sorry Not Sorry singer also highlighted her struggles with mental health and consequent drug overdose and rehabilitation. In a recent interview with People, the 26-year-old singer shared that she had dealt with suicidal thoughts, "Suicidal thoughts are something that I've had my whole life, and if it were to ever get dark again, I have an incredible support system. Because I am an empath, I feel so deeply and so extreme, to where it does get really dark but I have the support system around me now where I don't let it marinate at all in my thoughts."
