Delhi Crime Season 2 Releasing Soon! Here's All We Know About The Date And Plot

Delhi Crime season 2 is gearing up to knock the doors of the audience once again and present another crime case that shook the nation. The critically acclaimed season one of the show focused on the aftermath of the dreadful Nirbhaya case of 2012 that took place in Delhi.

Featuring India's capital, Delhi, which has a history of deadly and aggravating crimes, in the backdrop, Delhi Crime season one had a successful release under the lead of Shefali Shah and the support of Rasika Duggal and Rajesh Tailang. Becoming the first and the only Indian series ever to win an International Emmy, the show received Outstanding Drama Series award in 2020. Directed by Richie Mehta under the production of Ivanhoe Productions, Golden Karavan, Poor Man's Productions and FilmKaravan, the show is all ready to release its season 2 soon.

All About Delhi Crime Season 2

The show stars Shefali Shah in the lead role of the IPS officer Vartika Chaturvedi who is given the control of a rape and murder case that left the entire nation shocked. The series follows her journey of solving the case and getting the culprits caught and punished for the injustice they committed. The show starred Rasika Duggal as trainee IPS officer, Adil Hussain as Commissioner of Police and Rajesh Tailang as inspector and they are expected to return for season 2. In addition to them, Delhi based IAS officer Abhishek Singh will be making an appearance in the season 2 of the show.

As for the plot of the new season, not much is revealed by the makers but it is expected to feature another big crime case of Delhi and the investigation behind it. According to some sources, the case featured in this season will be of the Nithari serial killings from 2005 and 2006 that happened near Nithari village in Noida at the house of businessman Moninder Singh Pandher situated in Sector 31. However, there is yet any confirmation to be received on that.

The season one had 7 episodes and the new season is also expected to have seven episodes, This season will be directed by Ventilator fame Marathi director Rajesh Mapuskar. Season 2's first look was released recently and it will premiere on Netflix by August 26 2022.
