Deepika Padukone Starrer Gehraiyaan To Release Soon: What To Expect ?

The Shakun Batra directorial, Gehraiyaan release is anticipated by a lot of fans out there. The OTT movie based on adultery is not just a star-studded production but the plot and characters are woven in such a way that it will be hard to differentiate the grey shades.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles, Gehraiyaan release date is set to be on February 11, 2022. The trailer came out on January 21 and has been a quick and detailed glimpse of the complicated relationships and feelings that the movie will be dealing with.

The plot of the movie is based on adultery where we see that Zain (Siddhant), who is all set to marry Tia (Ananya), is having a secret affair with Alisha (Deepika), Tia's cousin, who herself is in a loveless relationship with her boyfriend. While this may seem like a usual love-triangle typical to many Bollywood films, it is expected to be more than that.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into the back story of the characters where we see ambitions, betrayal, loveless relations and also love, unfiltered and carefree. There is Zain, who is engaged to Tia but is not fully invested in the relationship. We often see him vary of her and there is definitely a monetary angle to Tia and Zain's engagement that he chose over love. But when he meets Alisha, he cannot help but get attracted to her, keeping aside his 'beneficial marriage' with Tia.

Alisha, on the other hand, is also in quest of love and her goals. She wants to build herself a successful career and a successful relationship as well. But we see that her boyfriend that he is not putting much efforts neither does he seem interested in her ambitions and desires. Alisha and Tia had a similar lifestyle when they were young but when they grew up, everything changed. The yoga trainer is lonely and when she meets Zain, she feels attracted but wants to suppress them as he is her cousin's fiance.

So we see Zain and Alisha embarking on a taboo journey exploring love and not caring about the world would say. But how long will they be able to put up this web of lies, how long will they keep their love a secret? There will come a time when everything will require an explanation and a lot of lies and truths will surface. The question is how will this wave of confrontation occur and how many relations will it swallow along the way. For that, you have to wait for Gehraiyaan release because it has all answers to your questions.

Ananya Panday, when talking about the characters in the movie, said that viewers will not find negative or grey shade characters in the movie as every character goes through their own struggle to justify their behaviour. Meanwhile, the first song of the film, Doobey was officially released on January 24 and has shown the sizzling chemistry between Zain and Alisha. Gehraiyaan releases on February 11 on Amazon Prime Video.
