Deepika Padukone at KBC: The official Instagram account of Sony TV shared a glimpse from the Friday special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati to be on air on September 10 at 9 pm. The video revealed that the actor, being a depression survivor herself, will represent her Live Love Laugh Foundation, which deals with mental health, on the show.

The episode will also have filmmaker Farah Khan.
The special episode, titled ‘Shaandaar Shukravaar’ episode will be about supporting social causes, much like other episodes of the quiz show. Padukone will be representing her anti-depression cause while Khan will fight for a a 17-month child who is suffering from a rare genetic disorder who can only cured by a medicine that costs Rs 16,00,00,000, the costliest medicine of all times.
When Padukone opened up about depression, Khan added that when she worked with Padukone during the shoot of Happy New Year, she had no clue Padukone was suffering from a mental health crisis. She said that Padukone never let anyone understand what she was going through. "Mein toh bahut saalon take soch rahi thi ki isko kabhi aisa kuch hua he nahi (I used to believe for a long time that she (Padukone) never went through something like this,)" Khan said.
Host Amitabh Bachchan lauded Padukone for sharing such personal issues on national television and said that it will provide support to others who are suffering. He added that he will pray Padukone never has to deal with such a crisis in her life again.
After Khan narrated why she wanted to raise funds for the 17-month baby, Bachchan promised that he will as well contribute to the issue out of the show.
