Former Indian Actor, Zaira Wasim has revealed that her father has died. With a heartfelt note, Wasim shared a photo of her childhood with her father Zahid Wasim on her Instagram account. In her note, Zaira requested everyone to remember him in their prayers. Zaira Wasim was last seen in film The Sky Is Pink alongside Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, and Rohit Saraf.
Dangal Actor Zaira Wasim's Father Passes Away: Actor Confirmed The News
Zaira took to her social media handles on Tuesday night and wrote, “My father, Zahid Wasim, has passed away. Please remember him in your prayers and ask Allah to forgive his shortcomings, make his grave peaceful, protect him from its torment, ease his journey from here ahead and grant him the highest level of Jannah and Maghrirah.”
While details surrounding the death of Wasim's father are unknown, the actor gave details of the final rites and funeral of her father to be held in her hometown Srinagar around 10 PM on Tuesday in her Instagram stories.
Wasim's father's demise is not the first loss to her as earlier this year Wasim also mourned for the loss of her first co-star Suhani Bhatnagar with whom she worked in her debut film Dangal. Bhatnagar died at the age of 19 after battling with a rare skin disease Dermatomyositis.
Wasim wrote on her X (Formerly Twitter) post: "I’m shocked beyond words by the news of Suhani Bhatnagar’s passing. My heart goes out to her family during this incredibly difficult time. The thought of what her parents must be experiencing fills me with so much sorrow. Utterly speechless. My heartfelt condolences."
Short-Lived Acting Career:
Wasim who debuted her acting career at the age of 16 with Aamir Khan in the superhit film Dangal had many hits in her short-lived acting career such as Secret Superstar and Sky Is Pink.
The young actor was hailed for her spectacular acting skills and was also honoured with National Film Award, Filmfare Award, and Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar.
As Wasim was at the peak of her career, at the age of just 18, Wasim decided to quit acting sending shockwaves to many. In 2019, Wasim announced the news of her quitting acting as it did not align with her religious beliefs.
