Ananya Panday's CTRL Had Five Influencer Cameos - How Many Did You Notice?

This article contains spoilers. As Ananya Panday's OTT film CTRL (control) is making rounds on the internet, it seems everybody has something to say about this Artificial Intelligence takeover of ACP A.K.A. Nella Awasthi. 

The film features Vihaan Samrat as Joe, Nella's boyfriend till "something" happens. Their relationship was all about posting together about their new experiences and all the "NJoy" they have been doing. Didn't get the reference? Watch the film to find out! So yes, their relationship goes haphazard when Joe cheats on Nella and she mistakenly posts it for the world to see on Instagram Live. Post the breakup fiasco, Nella feels like erasing any memories of Joe from his life. And Allen, the AI agent of the ctrl app arrives to remove Joe's digital footprint. 

But this threatens to put his entire existence at stake! 

Influencers in CTRL 

Vikramaditya Motwane is the director of the film and he performs a stellar job of showing the social media world on screen. He rightfully included such influencers and scenes that proved that everything in today's life is content. We also see a lot of Gen-z and internet slang thrown about during the film- Troll, Vlogging, Trendy, Brand deals, Anonymity and the like. 

Let's see how many mega-influencers made it to the film. 

Tanmay Bhat

Of course, the ex-AIB founder and the king of memes had to mock the internet's sensation Nella Awasthi. Tanmay arrives twice on our screens during the 99-minute film. On the first occasion, he arrives with his OG Gang, AIB's Rohan Joshi, Kullu, Vishal and more. When Ananya confronts the girl Joe was cheating on her with and hilariously hits her while yelling, "Aur koi nahi mila tha tujhe?"  Bhat reacts to this by saying, "Imagine the girl says Haan Baaki Sab Sutta Maarne Gaye The."

The next scene is where the reel comeback queen Nella Awasthi meets the real comeback king Tanmay Bhat at an event where he is the host. She mocks him by saying how all the content creators owe her an apology to which Tanmay yells into his mic "Sorry, Nella Awasthi."

Rohan Joshi

Rohan Joshi arrives as part of the popular YouTube show "Tanmay and Gang Reacts". Joshi leaves his hilarious opinion on Nella's infamous break-up live video. He says "This influencer really liked and shared her boyfriend."

Vishal Dayama 

Yet another OG Gang member from the clan of Tanmay Bhat. Dayama is known for his puns and hilarious straight-faced comedy. 

To Joshi's comment, "This influencer really liked and shared her boyfriend," he hilariously adds, "And we are commenting on it."

Aditya Kulshreshta AKA Kullu

Kullu has been making the rounds on Instagram reels. His Bhopali accent and catchphrase "Arre dosto" are quite famous in the world of stand-ups in India. He is also a regular on Tanmay Bhat's YouTube segment "Tanmay Reacts."

Yashraj Mukhate

The OG Mixer is here! This guy mixes song lyrics and adds a fun beat-boxy tune to them.

After Nella Awasthi's very public confrontation with Joe, her boyfriend, Mukhate produces a mockery song it titled "Mera boyfriend hai, sabko pata hai!"
