In wake of the current COVID-19 cases in the state of Maharashtra, many Indian celebrities based out of Mumbai, also tested positive for the virus. The state has seen around 85 cases of Omicron as of December 29 and the state government has urged the citizens to vaccinate themselves and follow the protocols.
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) recently alleged Kareena Kapoor Khan and her family were not cooperating with them. The corporation later tracked down everyone who directly and indirectly came in contact with them.
COVID Positive Indian Celebrities In The Past Few Days:
Kareena Kapoor Khan
BMC alleged that Kareena Kapoor broke the protocols set by the state authorities by attending parties before she tested positive for the COVID-19. Her spokesperson however said in a statement, "Kareena has been extremely responsible throughout the lockdown period. She has been careful every time she’s stepped out."
The actor has now recovered after the period of rest and quarantine. She thanked how her fans kept sending her wishes on the social media page and her sister who helped her throughout the phase.
Amrita Arora
She tested positive the same day as Kareena Kapoor Khan. Both of them attended the Karan Johar's dinner for 20 years anniversary of Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Ghum, just before they tested positive. She has recovered from the viral infection now, and the best friends, Arora and Kapoor attended the Christmas gathering at Karisma Kapoor's place recently.
Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor reportedly tested positive for the virus for the second time. He was last infected in September 2020 and had recovered from the infection without any complication. The BMC has sealed his residential apartment and also started the sanitisation work in his building. He has not spoken about the infection yet on any of his social media handles.
Anshula Kapoor
Anshula Kapoor who turned an year older on December 29 also reported positive for the coronavirus. It is said that she attended the party hosted by Anil Kapoor at his residence, which might be a mini COVID-19 hotspot.

Rhea Kapoor
Rhea Kapoor along with her husband Karan Boolani had been attendees at the father Anil Kapoor's party from where number of other people tested positive. However, Anil Kapoor himself tested negative for the virus. She informed her followers that even after being "super careful", the couple has tested positive for the virus and is isolating and taking all prescribed medications and precautions.
Manasa Varanasi
Varanasi was to represent India in Miss World pageant that was about to take place on December 16, 2021. However, she tested positive for the virus along with 16 others in the contest that was to take place in Puerto Rico. The 23-year old-girl from Telangana is the winner of Miss India World 2020 held in Mumbai during February 2021.
Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan
Model and wife of Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor also contracted the virus after she attended the Karan Johar's dinner in Mumbai. Sanjay Kapoor informed his followers through his social media page that Maheep has been tested positive for COVID-19. Along with her, the fashion designer Seema Khan who also featured in Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives tested positive. She was also present at Karan Johar's dinner party.
Kapoor informed of her infection to the followers on social media page wherein she wrote- "I have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I’m feeling ok and have isolated myself." She also added that she has taken the advice of health professional and doctors and requested all to stay safe.
Nora Fatehi
The Bollywood actor and dancer turned out positive for the COVID today, as informed by her spokesperson. As per the confirmation provided by Fatehi herself, on her social media page, she has been hit hard with the virus and is battling it currently. However she is under the doctor's supervision and requests all her follower to adhere to the COVID protocol as "nothing is more important than the health", Nora Fatehi writes.
Shilpa Shirodkar
The former photo model and the Bollywood actor, Shirodkar also tested positive for the virus. She shared a picture on her Instagram handle and declared herself as been positive since the last four days. Shirodkar urged the people to stay safe and get vaccinated soon enough along with following the advice of the government. She added "your government knows what is best for you".
Supriya Sule
Member of Parliament from Baramati, along with her husband Sadanand Sule have contracted the virus. She had been attending the state legislature sessions. Sule informed everyone through her social media handle about the news and the fact that they do not have any symptoms and urged anyone in contact to get tested.
John Abraham
John Abraham, along with his wife, Priya Runchal, tested positive for the COVID-19. Abraham took to his social media profile and informed of his contact to a person few days back who later turned out to be COVID positive. The actor also added that both of them were vaccinated and experiencing mild symptoms.
Ekta Kapoor
The director and producer of many popular TV shows and Bollywood movies, Ekta Kapoor, announced that she has tested positive for the virus despite all the precautions she has been taking. She urged her contacts in the recent days to get tested. In the last few days, she was seen promoting the sixth season of her famous show Naagin. She is currently under home quarantine.
Mrunal Thakur
The actor informed of being COVID-19 positive recently. Mrunal Thakur and Shahid Kapoor's movie Jersey which was scheduled for release on December 31, 2021 ,got postponed due to the surge in cases of COVID around the country. She informed her fans that she was feeling okay and had mild symptoms. She requested all her contacts to get tested soon.
Arvind Kejriwal
The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal tested positive for the coronavirus. The Aam Aadmi Party leader informed about the mild symptoms he had been facing. He had been on campaign trail in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab for the upcoming assembly elections. Last week, Kejriwal had urged people not to panic, as the cases of hospitalisation have been low and situation is under control.
