Tamil actor Cool Suresh, known for his flamboyant and exaggerated actions, has drawn criticism and condemnation for his inappropriate actions at an event. He forcefully placed a garland on the event anchor, which is being widely criticised for its insensitivity.

Cool Suresh has issued an apology after his recent behaviour at the Sarakku promotion caused outrage on social media. The actor forcibly garlanded a female anchor who was clearly uncomfortable with his act.

Cool Suresh Apologises

In an apology video, Suresh said that he only meant to keep the place lively and meant it as a "game," which turned out to be a "disaster." "I apologise to the host and press, and I did it only because I thought she would be jovial about it because we danced together before the show."

"My wife is also very upset with me," he said, adding that his friends also condemned the act. He said that he takes full responsibility for the incident and apologises to everyone publicly for it.

YouTube sensation Cool Suresh, known for his flamboyant antics in the name of film promotions, is under fire after an incident at the Sarakku audio launch in Chennai on September 20. During the event, Cool Suresh behaved inappropriately towards a female anchor on stage, drawing criticism and condemnation.

At the audio launch, the anchor invited him to address the audience, but his actions took an unexpected turn. He forcefully placed a garland on the host, visibly upsetting her. In an attempt to justify his behaviour, Cool Suresh claimed that he wanted to appreciate the anchor's work at the event. Actor Mansoor Ali Khan, who was also present, took the stage and apologised on Cool Suresh's behalf. Suresh eventually apologised to the woman but stated that he did it for the sake of 'content.'

This incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many labelling it as abusive and harassing behaviour. Several users and journalists have called on film producers to reconsider inviting Cool Suresh to such events in the future.

Criticism hasn't been limited to Cool Suresh alone; some users have also directed their ire at those who applauded and cheered for his behaviour. One user expressed clear disapproval, emphasising that what he did to the young woman on stage was unequivocally abusive. As a result, there have been calls for producers to reconsider hiring him for promotional events and public appearances.

Film producers often hire Cool Suresh for the purpose of promoting their movies on their release days. Depending on the nature of the film, Cool Suresh engages in eccentric and attention-grabbing antics within movie theatres, generating considerable excitement and interest in the film. 

Despite his appearances in films like Kaakha Kaakha, Machi, and Kadhal Azhivathillai, Cool Suresh openly professes his admiration for Silambarasan, and it was his promotion of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu in 2022 that catapulted him to fame.
