Christina Milian to star in Step Up TV series: Actor Christina Milian is all set to take over Naya Rivera's role in the Step Up television series, the Starz network has announced on Monday.
Naya Rivera, also known for her work in musical-comedy series Glee died while saving her four-year-old son from drowning at a Californian lake last year. Following the tragic demise, her series Step Up will still pick up from where it left, with Milian taking over the role of Collette Jones.
The role of Collette has originally been played by Rivera on the Step Up program since its YouTube debut. "I am so excited to join the Step Up family," Grammy nominated Milian said in a press release. "I know I have massive shoes to fill. Naya was incredible. I hope to honor Naya, her family, friends and fans with a great performance," she added.

Creator and executive producer Holly Sorensen said in a statement that Rivera's death last summer was a "terrible loss to our world," and that it was "almost impossible to consider there could be someone so graceful and loving who could both help us honor our loss, while also bringing a deep reservoir of talent to our show, in so many areas." She was 33.
