The streaming service revealed today that the slice-of-life drama Chhatriwali, starring Rakul Preet Singh and Sumeet Vyas, will soon be available exclusively online.
ZEE5 has released the trailer of Chhatriwali. The trailer sees Singh in the role of a school teacher, she is also seen educating people about safe sex and the use of condoms. She further encourages her school to include sex education in its curriculum. She is heard saying, "Seekhenge to galti aur galat dono se bachenge."

Ronnie Screwvala is the producer, and Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar is the director of the upcoming drama Chhatriwali, which stars Rakul Preet Singh. The movie's aim is to deliver a strong social message about the value of male contraception and safe sex.
Singh portrays the quality control manager at a condom manufacturing facility in this Haryana-based film. The tagline of the film claims that despite her initial shyness and shame about her line of work, "she quickly realises the necessity of safe sex and then takes it upon herself to destigmatize the conversation around sex education."
Chhatriwali Release Date:
On World Aids Day, the film's creators announced its digital distribution. The actor asserted that Chhatriwali stands out because it is a humorous film with a significant social message. "This World Aids Day, I join the fight against HIV by promoting the use of male contraceptives and safe sex in my next film, Chhatriwali," said Rakul Preet Singh in a statement.

The streaming platform posted on Twitter, "Present ma’am! Kar lijiye apna timetable set to attend #Chhatriwali ki class only on #ZEE5, premiering on 20th Jan" The streaming service announced on Thursday that the movie will debut on ZEE5 on January 20.
The chief business officer of ZEE 5 India, Manish Kalra, expressed excitement about bringing forth a film that addresses the taboo subject of sex education in a cutting-edge and entertaining manner. He said, "The film packs a punch about the importance of sex education with humour and tenderness. Chhatriwali is certain to enthral and educate our audience with a blend of social message, strong female character, humour, nuance, and lots of drama."
