Kamalnath, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh also declared Chhapaak Tax free in Madhya Pradesh. He further tweeted that Chhapaak creates awareness about acid attacks and also showcases self-confidence, struggle, hope and passion in the lives of acid attack survivors. He further added to his tweet that the movie aims to change the perspective of society in such issues.

He tweeted that the film Chhapaak will create awareness on the disgraceful crime of acid attack. He also requested people to go watch the movie in order to be aware of the crime.

The movie Chhapaak stars Deepika Padukone (leading role) and Vikrant Massey. The movie is based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal.
