Sushmita Sen's Brother Rajeev Sen Says Wife Charu Asopa Hid Her First Marriage

Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen and actor Charu Asopa’s marriage is on the rocks as they file for separation and make allegations against each other. Asopa had sent a legal notice to part ways with Sen and he responded by sending Asopa a legal notice accusing her of hiding her first marriage.

Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen got married in Goa in June 2019 and had their first child together on November 1, 2021. Now, the couple has filed for separation and Sen alleged that Asopa hid her first marriage from him.

Reportedly, the television actor Asopa sent a legal notice to Rajeev Sen seeking an amicable separation on June 7. Sen responded by sending a notice levelling accusations against her. Asopa said that she did not intend to speak about their marriage and marital issues but has been forced to speak about their issues because “Rajeev is spreading lies” about her. She added that his allegations were damaging her reputation.

Asopa confirmed that the couple has decided to end their marriage and that she had initiated the process.

Rajeev Sen Alleges Charu Asopa Hid First Marriage

Sen had accused Asopa of hiding her first marriage from him. According to him, “practically no one” except the people from her hometown knew about her first marriage. He described her first marriage as “a secret kept hidden from us.” Sen added that he had no idea about the first marriage after three years of marriage but would have accepted it if she had informed him before they got married.

Meanwhile, Asopa said that “Not only did he know about it, but also appreciated me moving on from my past and making it on my own in Mumbai.” She said that her first marriage took place in 2007 when she was 18 years old. The first marriage ended in 2016 due to compatibility issues.

Asopa also said that Sen accused her of being a bad mother for posting pictures of their daughter Ziana on social media. She said it was because he is superstitious and believed that “Nazar lag jaati hai”, but she did not agree with his views.
