Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Cast And Plot
The trailer showcases the life of a Chandigarh-based fitness trainer, Manu. The handsome, Punjabi hunk is aiming for the coming weight-lifting championship while his sisters pester him to get married. But the ambitious Manu is determinant on achieving his goal before marriage. Until the entry of the beautiful Zumba teacher, Maanvi Brar, played by the stunning Vaani Kapoor. She is sharing space beside Manu's gym and has got him smitten.
The trailer shows Vaani Kapoor aptly portraying the character of an independent and liberal female lead. Sidetracking his goals, Manu falls in love with her and the typical aashiqui begins.
But what is a lovestory without problems? Apparently, the problem here is a lot more complicated than the soap operas with bad in-laws. The twist here is that Maanvi is probably transgender. A shocked Manu cuts all ties with her but they both cannot resist each other. The film is about how these love-birds try to revive their romance.
The movie is set in the backdrop of Chandigarh and is full of the typical Punjabi style elements like curses, gyming, weightlifting and love. Desi Manu falls in love with the sexy and modern Maanvi. The movie has many addictive songs like Kalle Kalle and Maafi (sung by Ayushmann) that are trending on the social media. The Abhishek Kapoor directed film also has Leena Sharma and Girish Dhamija in supporting roles.
The movie is a cultural reset with an interesting plot and another experimental project by Ayushmann Khurrana. The film is even more special as it the First Zero-Waste Indian Film. The Producer, Pragya Kapoor joined hands with Skarp, an organisation that assists firms to adopt sustainable waste management solutions. Pragya is known for her support to eco-conservation and she did not miss the opportunity to make her next film a milestone in this way. The film is set to release in theatres on December 10 2021.
