Will These Celebrity Couples Tie The Knot In 2022?

Celebrity weddings are grand events that their fans eagerly wait to see. Many celebrity couples from the acting industry got married in the year 2021 be it Katrina Kaif- Vicky Kaushal , Rajkumar Rao - Patralekha , Varun Dhawan- Natasha Dalal, Ankita Lokhande- Vicky Jain ,Yami Gautam- Aditya - Dheer and more. Giving in to this trend, fans are expecting a lot more of their favourites to tie the knot in 2022.

There are more celebrity couples who are set to move from their dating life to marriage. From preferring its female actors to stay unmarried (because then who will like them? was the concern for the industry at one point) to one where we are celebrating weddings of actors and their pregnancies, Indian film industry has matured.

Here's a look at many of our favourites who are in relationships and will remain in public speculation about their wedding plans. 

Alia Bhatt- Ranbir Kapoor

The couple has been dating for a few months now. They are seen sharing their images on Instagram for fans and have in that sense sealed any speculation in the affirmative. Every now and then there are media reports on wedding bells but we have not yet heard a confirmation or official news on the same.

Ranbir Kapoor, whose films like Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani , Rockstar ,Sanju and Barfi are mega hits and Alia Bhatt who acted in Student Of The Year ,Raazi ,Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Gully Boy are both star kids and have known each other for a long period. Professionally, they both will be seen together onscreen with the film Brahmastra which will release in September 2022.  This will be their first film together.

Rakul Preet Singh- Jackky Bhagnani

Rakul Preet who have done Bollywood films like Yaariyan and De De Pyar De , on the occasion of her birthday in 2021 took to Instagram to share a photo of herself holding hands with Jackky Bhagnani.  Bhagnani is also an actor who was seen in Welcome To Karachi , Mitron and Youngistaan.

Singh who has also worked in Telugu and Tamil films made the relationship public with her boyfriend and fans started speculating about their wedding. Although, Preet in an interview cleared out reports on any formal plan for now as both are busy focusing on their careers.

Kriti Kharbanda - Pulkit Samrat

Kriti Kharbanda an Indian actpr who made her debut with Kannada film Chiru in the year 2010 is dating Pulkit Samrat who acted in Sanam Re , Junooniyat , Fukrey ,and Jai Ho . Kharbanda made her acting debut in Bollywood with Raaz : The Reboot in 2016 and have also worked in the films like Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana and Yamala Pagala Deewaana : Phir Se . Both have done three films together that are Pagalapanti ( 2019) , Taish ( 2020) , Veerey Ki Weeding (2018).

The couple is very open about their relationship with their fans . Kharbanda often shares pictures of her boyfriend on her Instagram handle . When she was asked about her wedding plans with Samrat , she said they are in a relationship and anything beyond that is very private to share.

Disha Patani- Tiger Shroff

Disha Patani who has done films like M.S .Dhoni: The Untold Story, Malang and Bharat is reportedly dating Tiger Shroff who acted in A Flying Jatt , Munna Michael ,Student Of The Year 2 and War. The couple first met on the sets of a Music video and then worked together for Baaghi 2 in the year 2018.

Patani made her acting debut with Telugu film Loafer in the year 2015 while Shroff made her acting debut with the film Heropanti in 2014.  Both are enjoying their dating life and can been seen going for lunch , dinner or movie dates . The couple can also be seen praising each other in the comment sections of their Instagram.

Malaika Arora - Arjun Kapoor

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor 's love story often makes headlines. Arora is an Indian actor who has done films like Kaante and EMI as main lead. She is also known for her dance performances in the songs Chaiyya Chaiyya and Munni Badnam Hui. Kapoor  who is the son of film producer Boney Kapoor made his acting debut in 2012 with Ishaqzaade.  He has also done films like Gunday and 2 States.

Arora is 48 years old, while the Kapoor is 36. The duo have often faced trolling due to their 12-year age difference, and the actor has also faced a lot of trolls shaming him for dating a woman older than him. In many cases where the man is five to ten years older than the woman, the relationship is seen as a romantic one, which only shows the double standards of society. Kapoor recently broke his silence on the matter by saying that he thinks this trolling is "just a lot of noise" and should not be given importance.

The couple shares each others pictures and videos and shower love on each other. Recently they were on their vacation in the Maldives .

Richa Chadda- Ali Fazal

Richa Chadda and Ali Fazal have been in a relationship for a long time and moved in together in November 2021. Chadda made her debut in Bollywood with a small role in the film Oye Lucky ! Lucky Oye! in the year 2008. She has done films like Gangs Of Wasseypur  and Sarbjit . Actor Fazal acted in Fukrey , Khamoshiyan and Happy Bhag Jayegi.  They both were seen together in the film Fukrey in 2013.

The couple was supposed to get married in April 2020, but  the plans got postponed due to a coronavirus pandemic. We can see them getting married in March 2022? 

Tara Sutaria - Aadar Jain

Tara Sutaria has done films like Student Of The Year 2 and Marjaavaan . While her rumoured boyfriend  can be seen in the film Hello Charlie and Qaidi Band .The couple made their relationship official in December 2021 ,but are rumoured of dating since few years .On their relationship, the actor says they are very happy together and like each other's company ,the actress added that her boyfriend is like a home to her.Shibani Dandekar- Farhan Akhtar

Shibani Dandekar is an Indian- Australian singer and model who is dating Farhan Akhtar ,an actor who worked in films like Toofaan, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Dandekar often shares posts related to their relationship on the Instagram and people shower love on them. As per recent reports, the couple is going to register their marriage in February and then will hold a ceremony in March-April. However, neigther Dandekar nor Akhtar have confirmed the news. 

Kiara Advani - Sidharth Malhotra

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, who are rumoured to be dating each other, recently spotted at the airport leaving for their New Year vacation. They celebrated the new year together . Advani is known for her films like M.S. Dhoni : The Untold story ,Kabir Singh ,Good Newwz and Laxmii   Malhotra has acted in films like Student Of The Year, Hasee Toh Phasee ,Ek Villain and Marjaavan . They both were seen together in the film Shershah in the year 2021 which was a huge hit. They are also seen together many times roaming in the city and who knows can be seen getting married in 2022.

Athiya Shetty- KL Rahul

Athiya Shetty daughter of Suniel Shetty debuted in the year 2015 with film Hero featuring Sooraj Pancholi . The actress is dating Indian cricketer KL Rahul who is the vice captain of the Indian national cricket team. Both have made their relationship public through their social media. The couple shares their vacation pictures and the actor also shared that they are working together for a brand.
