Cast Of Uunchai: Know More About Actors In This Film On Friendship

The Rajshri Films' new project titled Uunchai is all set to have a theatrical release next month. Sooraj Barjatya, who directed the film, planned to roll it out in the same year that the Rajshri Productions banner marks its 75 years in the industry. The film is shot in Nepal.

Uunchai, which is a film about the friendship between the older generation, makes for a great ensemble cast of some legendary actors and will depict an interesting tale of friends who embark on an adventurous ride in the mountains. Know everything about the entire cast here.

Cast of Uunchai

Marked as one of the biggest projects undertaken by Barjatya, the film boasts of actors which have not together shared screen space before. The film brings some big names on board for a script that is dedicated to family and friendship.

Parineeti Chopra

Chopra joined the cast of Uunchai in 2021 and has been sharing serene pictures from the shoot in Nepal ever since. Reportedly, Parineeti Chopra will be playing a tour guide to three friends (Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani) who embark on a journey to the Everest base camp.

Neena Gupta

The makers of the film shared Neena Gupta's first look recently. Gupta will be seen playing the role of Shabina Siddiqui in Uunchai. In the latest look, she is seen standing next to the closet and smiling, as two looks of hers are made visible in the poster. The poster carries a tagline for her, "Family was her only inspiration."

Sarika

Actor Sarika will soon make her prominent presence felt in Uunchai with her character portrayal of Mala Trivedi. The production banner took to their social media to share her first look poster titled, "Redemption was her only inspiration." Sarika is seen in two opposite looks in the poster where in one she is seen wearing a shawl and the other has her walking uphill with a backpack on her back.

Nafisa Ali Sodhi

Nafisa Ali Sodhi's look is yet to be shared by the makers. It will be interesting to watch her grace the cinema screen after a long gap. Sodhi will be sharing the screen with her Major Saab co-star Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan, who celebrated his 80th birthday recently, shared his first look from the film a day before his big day. He will be seen playing the role of Amit Shrivastava. The poster for his first look carried the tagline: Friendship was his only inspiration.

Anupam Kher

Anupam Kher, who is collaborating with Rajshri Films for the fifth time now, shared his look from the film. Kher will be playing the role of Om Sharma, one of the three friends who initiate a journey to the Everest base camp.

Boman Irani

Uunchai which is a story of friendship, family and adventure brought Boman Irani on board to play one of the three friends navigating their lives. Irani will be seen playing the role of Javed Siddiqui, husband of Shabina Siddiqui (played by Neena Gupta). Irani also shared his look on social media stating that the character is one of the closest to his heart.

Danny Denzongpa will be making a solid guest appearance in the film. His look has not been shared as of now. Abhishek Singh Pathania and Sheen Dass are the other actors in the film whose looks have not been revealed yet.

Uunchai Release Date

The Sooraj Barjatya film is set to be released on November 11, 2022, in nearby theatres.
