Cartel Release date: The Supriya Pathak starrer web series Cartel is releasing this week. The trailer for the series dropped two weeks ago and has already crossed four million views. This crime drama revolves around the Angre family that has Rani Maai (Pathak) as its head. A story of power, politics and revenge, the concept of the series is reportedly similar to the 2005 Bollywood movie Sarkar, starring Amitabh Bachchan.

About Cartel

The series is set in Mumbai and tells the story of 5 "crime-lords" who come from different areas in the city. It reveals how they carry out their mission that is against the law and how the political, judiciary and corporate bodies and interrelated with the contemporary underworld. The gangs have lived peacefully because of a treaty Rani Maai put forth years ago. But a sudden turn of events develops an imbalance among them. We are now left to explore what happens next. Cartel is filled with "twists, turns, deceit, manipulation, action and a lot of drama."

Cartel release date and streaming platform

All episodes of the web series will be releasing on Friday, Aug 20. It will be available on the OTT platforms MX Player and ALT Balaji. Cartel marks MX Player's subscription Video on Demand (VOD) service termed MX Gold. Viewers will be able to watch the series on the platform by subscribing to it.
