Taking to Instagram, the actor who wore custom Anamika Khanna posted a string of photographs that captured the spirit of the evening, from deep conversations on the panel to candid moments behind the scenes. “Power-packed panel of ‘Women in Cinema’. We discussed our moments of challenges, joy and dreams together. It’s amazing how cinema can unite us all,” wrote Jacqueline, giving a peek into the dialogue that took place.

This is not the first time Jacqueline has attended Cannes. In 2015, she was invited by the Queen of Malaysia and even attended Naomi Campbell’s 45th birthday party on a private yacht. More About Women in Cinema Gala

The Women in Cinema Gala, organised by the Red Sea Film Foundation, has been held every year in Cannes since 2022. Hosted at the iconic Hotel du Cap during the Cannes Film Festival, the event shines a spotlight on women from the Arab world, Asia, and Africa who are making a strong impact in the film industry. Each year, a select group of talented women, ranging from filmmakers and actors to creators and executives, is honoured for their achievements.

The third edition of the gala took place on May 15, 2025, continuing the tradition of celebrating female excellence in cinema. This year’s honourees included an inspiring lineup, Zambian-Welsh writer-director Rungano Nyoni, Egyptian actor Amina Khalil, Thai actor Engfa Waraha, Syrian filmmaker Gaya Jiji, Saudi actor Elham Ali, Saudi filmmaker Sarah Taiba, and India’s Jacqueline Fernandez.
