Call My Agent: Bollywood teaser released on August 25 . Soni Razdan and Rajat Kapoor along with others are going to be playing the roles of agents.
Call My Agent: Bollywood is going to be revolving around the lives of four agents who strive to save their agency after the sudden death of the founder. The agents are meant to manage fragile star egos and real human emotions as their jobs.
The show stars Aahana Kumra, Ayush Mehra, Rajat Kapoor and Soni Razdan in lead roles. Aahana Kumra is known for her role in the film Lipstick Under My Burkha. Adding to the star cast, a host of Bollywood stars will play cameos as themselves.
Razdan was also seen in the film Raazi where she played the role of mother of her real-life daughter Alia Bhatt. Razdan will be playing the role of Treasa Matthews, according to reports. Talking about her experience she said that this is a story about the 'glitz, the glamour' and the agents who make it all happen."
The show is going to be an Indian adaptation of the popular French series Dix Pour Cent. The series is also adapted in UK and Turkey. It is going to be produced by Applause Entertainment and Banijay Asia. Sameer Nair said in his statement, called it show that has been 'delightfully reimagined to showcase the colourful world of Bollywood'. Nair is the CEO of Applause Entertainment.
It is written by Abbas and Hussein Dalal. Shaad Ali is the director of the show. The Netflix India VP, Monika Shergill said, "‘Call My Agent: Bollywood’ is an Indian twist with a heady mix of quirky writing and a marvelous cast making it a delightful watch."
