BTS Releases Butter teaser: The South Korean boy group BTS released the music video teaser for their highly anticipated upcoming single ‘Butter’ on May 19.
The worldwide famous boy group has been teasing their fans with pictures from their photoshoots and a new website with butter logos for quite some time now. On May 19 at midnight KST, they released a twenty-three-second long teaser for the single. The official music video of Butter is also anticipated to be out later this week.
Following “Dynamite”, an English song by the boy group that was previously released in 2020, “Butter” will also be an English song. This will make Butter the second English-language single of BTS.
The upcoming single is expected to drop online on May 21 at 1 p.m. KST. BTS will perform the track for the first time on television at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards which will air on May 23. The South Korean boy group is also currently nominated for four awards in the Billboard Music Awards which is their highest number of nominations yet.
BTS recently won the Best Music Documentary award in the annual MTV Movie & TV Awards for their documentary Break the Silence: The Movie. Other nominees in the category included big artists like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Demi Lovato, only to name a few.
Their award-winning documentary shows the journey and the behind-the-scenes of the group’s “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour.
As the category was a socially voted category, BTS thanked their fans in the acceptance video. On behalf of the group, RM said, “Thank you MTV for the Best Music Documentary award. BTS world tour ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ was an unforgettable experience for us and ARMY as well.” The group also exclaimed together, “Thank you MTV and ARMY!”
