BTS Breaks YouTube Premiere Record With Butter Music Video

BTS Butter Music Video: The long-awaited single has been officially released by the South Korean boy group along with a new music video. The new video has also once again broken the YouTube premiere record with a whooping premiere viewership.

BTS has made their much-anticipated comeback with a hot debut single on May 21 with new music after weeks of teasers and clues. With an estimated 3.89 million viewers to its premiere, the South Korean septet has once again broken another record for having the most premiere viewers. After just two hours of release, the video has about 3 million likes and 28 million views. The official number of viewers during the premiere will be announced by YouTube in a few days.

Butter is a pop track that has smooth lyrics. Keeping up the trend from their previous single Dynamite, the septet-- Joongkook, Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, Jin, V, and RM - were seen in formal suits as well as colourful captivating clothes with different hair colours. The song is produced by Rob Grimaldi, Stephen Kirk, Ron Perry, and RM from BTS.

The worldwide famous boy group has been keeping their fans on their toes before the release with pictures from their photoshoots and a new website that suddenly popped up with butter logos. On May 19 at midnight KST, a twenty-three-second long official teaser for the single was released on ">YouTube. Butter is the second English single of BTS after Dynamite that achieved global recognition for its catchy tunes and unique dance moves.

BTS will be performing 'Butter' in the Billboard Awards 2021 for the first time on television. The award show will be aired on May 23 The group is also nominated in four categories, which is the group’s highest nomination in the Billboard Awards yet.

BTS has also recently won the Best Music Documentary award in the annual MTV Movie & TV Awards for their documentary Break the Silence: The Movie. Their documentary shows the group’s journey and the behind-the-scenes struggles during their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself stadium tour. BTS won against big artists in the industry like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Demi Lovato, only to name a few.

The South Korean boy group has been considered global icons for quite some time now. Following their debut back in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, the seven-member group has gained global recognition and has toured in many countries. BTS is also one of the Korean groups that have the most English songs apart from their two singles Dynamite and Butter.
