Bridgerton Season 3 has already been teased by Shonda Rhimes ahead of the release of season 2 on March 25. With season 2 all set to release on screens on March 25, Bridgerton has geared up to be renewed for two more seasons.
Revealing more on who will be in focus Shonda Rhimes said, "There are eight Bridgerton siblings, so we're planning on following each one of the siblings' romantic stories. We're not necessarily going in order but we are going to be seeing each of the siblings and their stories." So it is now a known fact that Bridgerton will be around for long enough.
Bridgerton is based on the popular Bridgerton series of books penned by Julia Quinn. The chronology has been followed for the first two seasons. However, Shonda Rhimes has revealed that, that won't necessarily be the case for the next seasons, and that she might change things up.
Bridgerton Season 3: All you should know
Revealing more on the further seasons, she stated that the third book An Offer from A Gentleman follows Benedict Bridgerton and his life love story arc after Daphne and Anthony in the first two seasons. Luke Thompson portrays Benedict Bridgerton on the show, who will most probably be the focus of season 3. The third season will probably release in early 2023, as Shonda teased the facts stating, "We're already working on season 3, so we can have a shorter time between seasons."
However Shonda Rhimes hinting at changing things up has led fans to believe, the love story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton which is the narrative of book four in the Bridgerton series will also be the focus of season 3. But as of right now, as Bridgerton has returned to our screens, we will be seeing Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton along with Simone Ashley and Charithra Chandran as Kate and Edwina Sharma throughout the series.
With the confirmation of seasons 3 and 4, and the producer hinting at giving an insight into all of the Bridgerton siblings, fans speculate more seasons of Bridgerton. There are eight books in the Bridgerton series, and Netflix hasn’t aired any show for 8 seasons yet. Will Netflix change up its history and give the fans what they want? Only time will tell.
