Saying that the movie was an unimpressive remake of American actor Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, another user commented, “Give credit to #ForrestGump and I hope you guys do some justice to one of the best movies ever made!”
“Aamir Khan spearheaded the so-called 'Narmada Andolan' objecting to the increase in the dam's height on the Narmada, denying Gujarat much needed water for drinking and irrigation. Modi was CM. Modi as PM passed it. Now in Narendra Modi stadium, Aamir released his trailer,” added another user.
Film critic Rohit Jaiswal opined that the film's trailer was nowhere near Forrest Gump. He wrote in his tweet, “I have seen #ForrestGump and if you compare it with #LaalSinghChaddha then it is nowhere near to its original version,I wish #AamirKhan all the best, may film turns out to be a BIG BLOCKBUSTER but as far as #LaalSinghChaddhaTrailer is concerned, it is not even up to the mark.”
