Kapoor's first marriage ended in 1996 when he filed for a divorce from Mona Shourie Kapoor. Arjun and Anshula Kapoor, are Mona Shourie's Kapoor's children. Following his divorce, Boney married Sridevi in 1996. Janhvi Kapoor, the first of their two daughters, was born in 1997, and Khushi Kapoor was born in 2000. Sridevi drowned in a bathtub in 2018, just months before Janhvi Kapoor's debut film, Dhadak, was released.
Since Sridevi's demise, Boney Kapoor has shown his admiration for her on multiple occasions. "I am not searching for closure," He told Gulf News on the anniversary of his wife's death last year. "I'd like her to be with me all the time. She is present in my thoughts and will continue to be present in my thoughts at all times. There isn't a single day that goes by that she isn't with me.
