As per reports, the shooting for the forthcoming series originally began in October 2020. However, the shoot was temporarily halted the following month due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Back in December, Jisoo’s band member Rosé also sent her a truck in support of her acting debut, a gesture quite common among celebrities in Korea.
Kim Jisoo starrer Korean drama has been gaining popularity even before the release after the K-pop singer was roped in as a lead. The k-drama Snowdrop, inspired by the memoir of a man who escaped from a North Korean political prison camp, is set in the backdrop of Seoul, in 1987, amid the nationwide democracy movement. The love story of Im Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Eun Young-Cho (Jisoo) begins when the former hides in a women’s dormitory to escape the protest. Besides the Blackpink singer, this Kdrama also stars Jung Hae-in, Kim Hye-Yoon, Yoo In-Na, and Jang Seung-Jo.
Prior to this, Jisoo landed a cameo role in tvN‘s historical fantasy drama Arthdal Chronicles.
The release date for the Jisoo starrer hasn’t been announced yet.
