In the newly released trailer, of The Movie the girls look back on their five years together and their journey to becoming one of the biggest bands in the world. The Movie will release across 100 countries on August 4 in ScreenX, and 4DX.

BLACKPINK The Movie Trailer Out: K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has released the trailer of their five-year anniversary project The Movie. The trailer premiered on their official YouTube channel on July 14 and has also been shared on their Twitter handle. The Movie will release in theatres globally on August 4, four days ahead of the fifth anniversary of the group on August 8.

In the newly released trailer, the girls look back on their five years together and their journey of becoming one of the biggest bands in the world. In the trailer, the members talk about their DAY 1 as BLACKPINK, and the main dancer and lead rapper of the group Lisa is heard saying, "I think it was the happiest moment of my life".

Jisoo, who is the lead vocalist and visual of the group can be heard saying, "I think we shine the most when the four of us get together and challenge ourselves with new things."

The Movie is a part of BLACKPINK's anniversary project titled "4+1 PROJECT". When The Movie was first announced, many fans speculated that the "+1" in the titles indicates the addition of one more member in the group or possible collaboration. However, the trailer confirms that the "4+1" means BLACKPINK+BLINK, the group and their fans.

Further in the trailer, Jenny, the main rapper and lead vocalist of the group shared that, "performing on stage is one of the best parts" of their five-year journey, while Rosé, the main vocalist and lead dancer said that she tried to pour her heart and soul in the group.

In the end, Lisa is seen thanking the fans in tears for always supporting her.

The Movie will release across 100 countries on August 4 in ScreenX, and 4DX. It will be divided into different sequences titled "The Room of Memory", "Beauty", and "Unreleased Special Interview". The Movie will also include five songs from BLACKPINK's concert "The Show" which streamed on January 31, 2021, on YouTube.
