Blackpink's Jennie dating G-Dragon from BigBang? K-Pop fans seem to have lost their calm since a South Korean media outlet reported on Tuesday that BigBang’s G-Dragon and Blackpink’s Jennie are in a relationship. The K-pop stars have been reportedly dating each other for a year now. As per the report, Jennie and G-Dragon have been meeting secretly and often have their dates at home.

The report, by South Korean media outlet Dispatch, also stated that G-Dragon and Jennie’s relationship is a well-known secret within YG Entertainment (a South Korean entertainment company) which represents both the stars. Jennie’s manager often takes her to and from G-Dragon’s house. The same is done by G-Dragon’s manager sometimes.

Moreover, a close source to the two K-pop artists claimed that a few people at the YG entertainment have also noticed their relationship, adding that Jennie's mother is aware of her relationship with G-Dragon and she's supportive of it. However, YG Entertainment said that they cannot confirm any news about their artists personal lives. "We ask for your understanding,” they said.

Fans have a mixed reaction to the rumours of the two artists dating. While some are all hearts for G-Dragon and Jennie, others are criticising Dispatch for spying on Jennie and invading her privacy. Replying to a question asked by an Internet user on Quora about the alleged romance (back in 2020), a user commented on the duo's friendship and said they might be dating each other for years now since G-Dragon is friends with Jennie and likes her photos from his private account. However, he also likes pictures of other members of Blackpink, claimed the user.

Another user commented, "We know Jennie is often seen wearing his brand accessories, but she's not the only celebrity seen wearing his stuff. GD’s ex, Nana Komatsu, is the same age as Jennie Kim. And for those GD is too old for Jennie Kim? Ask Nana. Aside from all this, all we can do is wait on them to reveal who they're deciding to share their life with." Another user stood for Jinnie's privacy and said, "is it that hard to leave Jennie alone?? she needs her space."

Jennie is 25 years old while G-Dragon – whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong – is 32. The Blackpink member also appeared in a music video for G-Dragon's song That XX in 2012 before her own debut as a K-pop artist.
