Bipasha Basu Celebrates Baby Shower With Family

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover, who are expecting their first child together, held their baby shower, or shaad ceremony, with their mothers. Bengalis celebrate a ritual called Shaad, in which pregnant women  are treated with their favourite meals.

The soon-to-be parents, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover uploaded images to Instagram from the actor's traditional baby shower. The expecting mother took part in Bengali baby shower customs, which included having the family feed her.

She began by uploading a video with the caption "Aamaar Shaadh Thank you Ma. She also included the hashtags mother to be, shaadh, and my mommy is the best." In the video, Deepa Singh, Basu's mother-in-law, and her mother, Mamata Basu, perform arti for her and put a tilak to her forehead.

Basu talked about wanting to follow in the footsteps of her mother, Mamta Basu, in a picture of the two of them. She wrote, "Wish to be a Ma like you, Love you Ma." With another photo dump, she added, "All suited up for some loving and eating." She used the hashtags love yourself and food coma for these images.  Grover also shared pictures with  Basu from the ceremony. He wrote, My sweet babies! Basu previously revealed that Grover had been excellently caring throughout her difficult pregnancy.

For the occasion, she wore a pink silk saree and coordinating bangles, and a few other women also gave her blessings. Basu was also seen loading her mouth with food from a platter that was surrounded by numerous bowls of different foods.

Last month, the actor couple revealed their pregnancy with photos from their maternity photoshoot. In matching white shirts, the expectant parents were spotted together, and Grover could be seen cuddling and kissing Basu's growing baby bump. The actors wed in 2016 and had started attempting to conceive prior to the outbreak, but their plans had to be postponed. The soon-to-be mother stated in a recent interview that they had considered trying again in 2021.
