According to E! News, the award-winning singer moved to the court to request a civil harassment restraining order against the 23-year-old man. She also sought additional protective orders for her parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell, per the documents.

According to Billie Eilish, Hearle has been harassing and threatening her for the past six months while parking at a school across from her family home. She also alleged that he has been sending "extremely disturbing and threatening" letters to her and her family. One such threatening note allegedly reads, “You can’t get what you want, unless what you want is to die for me … You will know that soon the water will rise, and you might very well die … You will die,” the 19-year-old singer said in her declaration. She went on to reveal that the man is not moving from the property and has been sleeping near the school "most nights" and would "stare at me while I enter and exit our family's home."

"Every time I drive home I am filled with anxiety fearing that Hearle will be there waiting for me, and he usually is," she writes. "After I pull into the driveway and get out of the car, I can hear Hearle talking to himself in an ominous voice, which increases my anxiety level even more."

Additionally, the Don't Smile At Me singer said that his "constant presence and harassment causes me substantial anxiety, fear and emotional stress," even after she hired a personal security team.

Her father's also said in the declaration, "My family and I feel vulnerable and unsafe because we honestly have no idea of what Hearle is capable of, or what his intentions are towards my daughter." She’s asked a judge to grant a restraining order so that he remains at least 200 yards away from her and her parents.
