Marriage is an important decision of life that should be taken rationally and in all earnestness. But a UK man has literally posted a BillBoard ad for finding a wife for himself. If you think this is a joke, then no, it is completely true. In fact, he is very serious when he says he is searching a wife despite this over the top way.
The wife search ads are posted in several locations in Birmingham and Manchester. The ad feature a man smiling with the caption "Save me from an arranged marriage" and below mentioned is a website name. Allegedly, the man in the hoarding is the one searching for a wife and is a UK-based Pakistani entrepreneur.
UK Man Posts BillBoard Ad For Finding A Wife
The ads were posted by Muhammad Malik, a 29-year-old bachelor living in London. Malik considers Birmingham his second home. He allegedly even created a website named 'Findmalikawife.com' for his quest and mentioned it in the ad. The ad says that he wants to be saved from arranged marriage but actually Malik is not really opposed to it. However, he wants to try to find his wife of his own instead of his family finding someone for him.
While billboard ads and website seem over-the-top strategy to find a wife, Malik mentions that he had not found the right girl for him yet as it is really tough. Malik mentioned these reasons and his thoughts clearly on his website 'Findmalikawife.com'.
Just like people from the subcontinent, Malik also tried the traditional ways of asking the aunties of the family and relatives before advertising himself. When the traditional method was not a success, he tried it the modern way by going on dating apps and events. However, all this was in vain and that's when a friend suggested him the idea of an advertisement.
Malik's choice of an ideal wife is also interesting. He is looking for a girl in her 20's who strives to better her deen. He mentions that the girl should be one that can keep up with the banter in his loud Punjabi family.
These ads have actually worked in Malik's favor. He had received hundreds of calls and messages since the ads and website were posted on hoardings. Malik reportedly said that he had not yet got time to check all the messages as he had not expected so many responses. Malik posted the ads on Saturday and these ads will be posted till January 14.
