On the show Bigg Boss OTT 2, Pooja Bhatt called her divorce the "lowest phase of her life." She recalled hitting rock bottom before deciding not to give up on herself while talking to co-contestant Jiya Shankar.
The actor-filmmaker said- She either wanted to live her life with comfort or hold on to her 11-year-old relationship. Emphasising that her ex-husband wasn’t a bad person, she revealed that they had everything but felt she had lost herself, not for somebody else or the betterment of life.
Pooja Bhatt On Divorce
Bhatt wanted herself back and called the relationship off, so suddenly, it felt like death to her. People would ask if she was okay but prefer to hear her say no. Bhatt recalled she wanted to set herself free and find herself but instead drilled more into a bad zone.
She revealed that she had pushed herself to the bottom of the pool, and then suddenly her survivor’s instinct kicked in, and she clawed her saw out, thinking, "No boss, I am not giving up on myself."
She added that looking back, she never pushed it away from her. "I look straight in the eye and said, Yes, you have become this; otherwise, what’s the difference between a bottle and a person? So now the universe says that I am ready."
This isn’t the first time Bhatt has spoken about her ex-husband or her divorce on the reality show hosted by Salman Khan. Earlier in June, she said that her ex-husband was a good human being, and it’s just that she didn’t want to have children at that time. She also opened-up about her alcoholism.
