Bhumi Pednekar COVID positive: Actor Bhumi Pednekar took to social media to reveal that she has tested positive for COVID-19. Pedenkar joins the long list of Bollywood actors who have tested positive for the disease in recent times, as India struggles with a second wave of the deadly pandemic.
The Durgamati actor wrote in her post, "As of today, I have mild symptoms, but am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals."
The actor also shared how she is caring for herself after testing positive for the coronavirus. "Steam, Vit-C and a Happy Mood are my go-to," she wrote.
The actor further asked people who have been in contact with her to get themselves tested. The actor also urged everyone to not take the current situation lightly. "...even though i followed utmost precaution and care i've contracted it," she warned.
Pednekar also asked her followers to take necessary precautions, writing, "Wear a mask and keep washing your hands, maintain social distancing and be mindful of your general behaviour."
Pednekar's co-star from the 2017 film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Akshay Kumar was admitted to the hospital on April 5 "under medical advice" after testing positive for the disease on April 4. "I hope to be back home soon," Kumar wrote in his tweet.
