Anubhav Sinha's sociopolitical thriller Bheed, which takes place in India in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, was just released today. The director makes a comparison between the 1947 Partition and the worker exodus that took place during the 2020 lockdown. In the movie, Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar play the leading roles. The film also stars Ashutosh Rana , Pankaj Kapur, Kritika Kamra, Kumud Mishra and Aditya Shrivastav.
Three years ago, this was the reality that India and the rest of the world were struggling with. Now it almost seems like a scripted story. Bheed is a reflection of a time when the COVID-19 pandemic killed millions of people and left them homeless. This film, which was shot in black and white, depicts the tragic plight of migrant workers in 2020. Early reviews of Bheed have already begun to flood Twitter, and Twitterati is addressing the movie there.
