Who Is Bharati Achrekar? Original Mrs Wagle Starred In Series Sequel

Bharati Achrekar: The 80s popular sitcom, Wagle Ki Duniya is going to come back on television on February 8 with its sequel Wagle Ki Duniya Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissay.

Bharati Achrekar who played the role of Radhika Wagle in the 80s show will be seen reprising her role in the sequel. 

The original Wagle Ki Duniya created by renowned cartoonist RK Laxman had chronicled the life of a common man. he audience look forward to the new storyline and new age challenges to be featured in the series. Radhika Achrekar will be accompanied by her co-star from the original show Aanjjan Srivastav who will essay the role of Srinivas Wagle.

•  Achrekar is a celebrated actor and her role as Mrs Wagle shot her to fame as the show became a staple for the 80s audience. 
• During the course of her career, she has acted in many Bollywood films and has been starred in famous television shows as the matriarch. 
• She played the role of Akshay Kumar's mother in popular Bollywood film Desi Boyz. 
• Bharati Achrekar was recently seen in Varun Dhawan starrer Coolie No. 1 last year. 
• Critically acclaimed film The Lunchbox also had her contribution as she played the unintroduced Mrs Deshpande. The character was never seen on the screen but her voice as a middle-class housewife weighed heavily in the film. 
• Bharati Achrekar has also made her contribution in Marathi films such as Valu, Ardhangi and Friendship Unlimited.
