Over the years, R Madhavan has made his name in the Indian film industry as one of the most loved actors. The film follows the story of Paaru (Shraddha Srinath) who sets on a journey to find the person who painted the same fairytale she once heard as a child from a stranger. Madhavan stars as the elusive Maara in the film whose life is a series of non-stop adventures, interesting tales and encounters.

Nishabdham
In this crime thriller, Madhavan stars as a cello player named Anthony Gonsalves who gets entangled in a murder investigation carried out by Seattle PD. The investigation focuses on a deaf-mute girl named Sakshi, whose fiance dies in a gruesome manner, leading to the unravelling of a case involving a serial killer. The mystery-thriller investigates a number of suspects ranging from a ghost to a missing young girl and promises an engaging plot throughout the movie.
Alaipayuthey
Alaipayuthey follows the story of Karthik and Shakti and their romance after which they get married and experience the highs and lows of complicated married life. R Madhavan and actor Shalini play the lead role in the romantic-drama film. Alaipayuthey is directed by Mani Ratnam and was later remade in 2002 as Saathiya in Hindi, featuring Rani Mukerjee and Vivek Oberoi.
Vikram Vedha
R Madhavan plays the role of an honest cop Vikram who attempts to capture notorious goon Vedha (Vijay Sedhupathi) who mocks the law and order in Chennai. With the help of his friend Simon (Prem Kumar), he manages to get Vedha out of hiding. The film then turns into a cat and mouse game between the cop and the criminal who try to push each others buttons. Directed by Gayatri and Pushkar, the film is being remade in the Hindi language with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in lead.
Savyasachi
Vikram's (Naga Chaitanya Akkineki) left hand seems to be out of his control most of the time as he suffers from alien hand syndrome. He falls for Chitra (Niddhi Agarwal) while his brother-in-law gets murdered and niece is taken hostage. R Madhavan plays the role of Arun Raj Varma, the person with whom Vikram's sister was about to get married and who helps Vikram understand why his body is behaving so strangely.
