Badhaai Do is an upcoming Hindi drama film releasing on February 11. The story discusses the concept of Lavender Marriage as two gay people marry each other for the satisfaction of their respective families while they develop a bond of friendship living together as roommates. Badhaai Do Cast features actors RajKummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.

Badhaai Do is an upcoming Bollywood film starring actors RajKummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar which deals with the lives of two gay people as they marry each other while maintaining relationships with their respective partners. Badhaai Do is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni and written by Akshat Ghidial and Suman Adhikary.

Sharing the announcement of the trailer one day before, Bhumi Pednekar shared a post on her social media with her co-star RajKummar Rao. Rao shared a picture of himself introducing his character Shardul as a policeman with the caption, “Shardul नाम है हमारा। आपकी रक्षा भी कर लेंगे। #BadhaaiDo.” Pednekar will be seen as a PT teacher named Suman Singh in the film. Sharing the trailer video she wrote that the actor will always remember the journey she experienced on the sets of Badhaai Do.

Along with these two, actors Seems Pahwa, Sheeba Chaddha, Nitesh Panday and Chum Darang who will play the role of Pednekar’s girlfriend in Badhaai Do.

Release Date

Badhaai Do was earlier set to release on February 4, however, it is slated for a theatrical release on February 11, 2022. Posting a picture of him in the police uniform, Rao took it to Instagram saying, “Looking forward to 11th Feb and getting excited for the release. #Badhaai Do #BadhaaiDoInTheatres @bhumipednekar @jungleepictures"

Plot

The story revolves around PT teacher Suman Singh and Policeman Shardul who decide to get married to each other for the satisfaction of their families despite being gays. After their marriage, they live as roommates and develop friendship while maintaining their romantic relationships with respective partners.
