The trailer of actor Kriti Sanon's upcoming film Bachchhan Pandey is out. The three minutes 41 seconds long video features Akshay Kumar in full action mode with a zing of comedy. While the buzz around Bachchhan Pandey has been doing rounds for quite some time now, the film's release couldn't happen sooner due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The film Farhad Samji captures the world of a ruthless murderer, played by Kumar, from the lens of a documentary filmmaker Myra. With the help of her friend Myra (Sanon) wants to get under the skin of Pandey and understand what drives his bloodlust. However, as things go south it is her own neck that ends up on the line.
Numerous people find documentaries on true crimes and murders interesting as it helps them invade the psychology behind the killings. But Bachchhan Pandey seems to turn the table on our thirst for gore and offer a fun narrative and cheeky take on documentaries based on criminals.

For instance, in one of the scenes, Pandey tells Myra a sad story about how he did not have the money to buy medicines for his father who was suffering from cancer and how that drove him to murder. However, right when he sees sympathy creep into the eyes of the filmmaker and her companion, he laughs out loud to reveal that he was lying. What drives Pandey to kill, it seems, is simply the fact that he enjoys doing it.
