Kumaar, Jaani, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Vikram Montrose, Amaal Malik and Azeem Dayani made the film's soundtrack, while Kumaar, Jaani, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Vikram Montrose, and Azeem Dayani wrote the film's lyrics. Julius Packiam is credited with writing the film's background score.
The film's first song, "Maar Khayega", was released a few days ago and was composed by Vikram Montrose and sung by Farhad Bhiwandiwala. The song depicts Akshay Kumar in the role of a ruthless and deadly gangster, ready to kill anywhere and at any moment.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Bachchhan Paandey, which was originally slated to be released on December 25, 2020, was pushed back to January 22, 2021. The film is now set to be released theatrically on March 18, 2022.
