Waiting To Watch Bachchhan Paandey Online? Film's OTT Release Announced

Bachchhan Paandey OTT release date was announced recently on social media and the fans cannot wait to see the film on their personal screens. The movie was released on March 18, 2022 in theatres in the country.

Bachchhan Paandey was released theatrically on March 18 within a few days gap with The Kashmir Files. The Akshay Kumar starrer saw a massive decline in earnings as the audience shifted towards The Kashmir Files. However, Bachchhan Paandey will be made available for viewers on OTT apparently with the hope of grabbing more audience this time.

Bachchhan Paandey OTT Release Date

Bachchhan Paandey follows the story of a ruthless gangster of Baagwa of the same name who is approached by an ambitious director in search for a thrilling story for her film who decides to make her film on his life. Reluctant and dangerous at first, Bachchhan Paandey decides to give it a shot and the film takes us into the life journey of the gangster, his love life and a lot more secrets and twists. The movie is actually a remake of a South Indian film titled Jigarthanda that released in 2014. This Tamil film was itself made taking inspiration from a South Korean film that released in 2006 titled A Dirty Carnival.

Akshay Kumar plays the pivotal role of the gangster in the film while Kriti Sanon plays the director. The supporting cast includes Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Prateik Babbar, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra and Abhimanyu Singh. The action comedy was a Sajid Nadiadwala production and Farhad Samji directorial and was made on a budget of Rs. 180 crore but because could only collect Rs. 69 crores on Box Office, facing tough competition from The Kashmir Files.

On April 11, 2022, Amazon Prime Video India released a Twitter update about the release date of Bachchhan Paandey on the OTT platform. The tweet was captioned, "knock knock, you have a visitor #BachchhanPaandeyOnPrime, April 15" hence confirming that the film will come on April 15 on Amazon Prime Video.
