Babita Phogat Returns To Work After Becoming A Mom

The 2014 Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Wrestler Babita Phogat has come back to work after taking a break due to her pregnancy. Phogat informed about her return to the office through an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 13.

In her pictures on her post, she can be seen sitting in her office with her newborn child and working. The Devnagri caption of the post says that responsibilities make us stronger and work should be our first priority.

Many people have praised her for working while taking care of her child at the same time. One user wrote, "Super mom👌🙏🙏🙏", while the other said, "Proud of you mam🙏".

TV actor and entrepreneur Jaswir Kaur also commented on the post writing, "More power to all the mothers out there 👏👏👏🙏".

Phogat has recently given birth to her daughter on January 11 2021. After taking maternity break, the wrestler has returned to her work. Through her post, Phogat gives a message that having a child and getting more responsibility will only make her stronger and not affect her work.

The Indian freestyle wrestler joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2019. She was also the Deputy Director of Haryana's sports department but resigned from her post in October last year in order to focus on politics.

Babita Kumari Phogat won a Silver Medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a Gold Medal in 2014. She has also won a Bronze Medal in the 2012 World wrestling Championships. Phogat again won a Silver Medal in Freestyle Wrestling in the 2018 Commonwealth games.

She has also won two Gold Medals in 2009 and 2011 in the Commonwealth Championship in the 51 kg and 48 kg category respectively.

Phogat also has a biopic made on her and her sister Geeta Phogat's journey in the world of wrestling. In the 2016 film Dangal, the role of Babita Phogat was played by the Pagglait star Sanya Malhotra.
