Victorious Queen: Ayushmann Hails Tahira's Fight Against Cancer

On World Cancer Day, Ayushmann Khurrana pens a heartfelt tribute to his wife, Tahira Kashyap, a breast cancer survivor, highlighting her courageous journey battling the disease. Having openly shared her challenges since her diagnosis in 2018, Kashyap’s resilience has inspired many. The actor took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos and videos capturing their journey. 

The series begins with a cheerful mirror selfie of the couple, followed by a post-surgery snapshot of Tahira Kashyap. The subsequent images and videos depict her proudly sporting a t-shirt and boldly declaring, “F*#k cancer!” In his caption, Khurrana lovingly reminisces about their early days together, expressing admiration for Kashyap’s strength and spirit. He also extends his best wishes for her debut at the spoken festival.

Reflecting on the challenging period following Kashyap’s diagnosis, the actor shared insights into their journey during an interview with Rajeev Masand. Recalling the moment they received the news on his birthday while promoting two films, he acknowledged Kashyap’s bravery in confronting the situation positively. Despite the turmoil, her resolve to celebrate life and face the disease head-on became a source of strength for both of them.

Khurrana commended Kashyap’s resilience, saying "You are the victorious queen in front of me. I was happy that you are emotionally strong in a way that you are going to tackle this and fight this. We were together in this fight, but I was getting so inspired by you that you've probably become stronger than me. You have a great presence. It doesn't come from your hairstyle, it comes from your chanting, your practice, the person you've become, your experiences in life, and the sum of everything.?

After a lengthy courtship, Tahira Kashyap and Ayushmann Khurrana tied the knot in 2008. They share the joy of parenthood with their son Virajveer and daughter Varushka.
