Athiya Shetty And KL Rahul Wedding Officially Married: Photos Inside

Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul finally tied the knot on Monday with the blessings of both families at Sunil Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. The lovebirds reportedly first met through a mutual friend in February 2019 and connected instantly. They continued seeing each other and soon fell in love. The couple made their relationship official by posting photos together on social media in December 2019. The couple has tied the knot after four years of dating. The wedding took place between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on January 23.

With the wedding officially done, Suniel Shetty and his son, Ahan Shetty, addressed the media stationed outside their farmhouse. They thanked the media, distributed sweets to them, and Sunil Shetty announced that the wedding is officially now complete.

Suniel Shetty thanked everyone while posing for the cameras. He said, "The function was beautiful. It was an intimate ceremony but a very beautiful one. With the marriage now officially complete, I’ve become a father-in-law." He also said that the reception will take place post-IPL.

In a heartwarming gesture, Shetty added, "Father-in-law is not a new role. It’s the role of a father for me; my son is coming home, and if we remove the "in-law" and simply remain a father, that would be great."

Ahan Shetty said, "KL Rahul was always like a brother to me. I'm glad that he is part of family now."

Suniel Shetty and his family have planned an extravagant after-party tonight with all the guests at the Khandala farmhouse. The phone cameras of the guests were covered with stickers to follow the no-camera policy at the wedding. Suniel Shetty, in a sweet gesture, had arranged food and water for the media personnel standing outside the venue. He also arranged tents and fans for them. He served chicken biriyani to the paparazzi after the sangeet last night.

Shetty addressed the paps and thanked them before the wedding ceremony outside his farmhouse. "You guys have been amazing, and the way you all are showering us with love, it is extremely beautiful. He assured the paparazzi that the family would come together and pose after the wedding.

According to India Today, the pre-wedding ceremonies started on January 21 with an intimate cocktail party. This was followed by Haldi and Mehendi on January 22. Reportedly, the guests were served a lavish spread of south Indian cuisine.

Guests included Diana Penty, Anushula Kapoor, Anushka Ranjan, Aditya Seal, Krishna Shroff, Anupam Kher, and cricketer Ishant Sharma. Celebrities including Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Esha Doel, and Raj Bansal congratulated the newlywed couple on social media.
