Actor Asin Thottumkal grabbed headlines on Wednesday after she allegedly deleted all photos with husband Rahul Sharma from her Instagram account, leading to netizens wondering if the couple were headed towards divorce. It was reported that the Ghajini actor had also removed her marriage photos.
Amidst rumours, Asin has taken to her Instagram handle to shut down the speculation. She stated, "In the middle of our summer holiday right now, we are literally sitting across each other enjoying our breakfast and came across some very imaginative and utterly baseless 'NEWS.' Reminds of the time we were sitting at home together with our families planning our wedding and we heard that we had broken up. Seriously? Please do better. (Disappointed to have wasted 5 minutes of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!)) Have a great day, you guys."
The actor, who is only occasionally active on social media, last posted on Instagram in October 2022. While alleged divorce rumours went viral on the internet, a social media fan page dedicated to Asin pointed out that she had deleted her photos with her husband in February itself. The page also claimed that this wasn’t the first time she had deleted pictures from her handle.

The fan page noted that Asin had earlier deleted her parent's wedding anniversary picture and asked if that meant she had some issues with them. The page also pointed out that Asin had even deleted the post about Sridevi's demise and questioned if that meant Asin no longer adored Sridevi.
However, Asin had reportedly left only one photo with her husband Rahul Sharma on her Instagram account, which was a tribute to the late actor Rishi Kapoor: a black and white photo from the couple’s wedding reception, which Rishi Kapoor attended.
Asin Thittumkal started out in the Malayalam film industry and ruled the South Indian film industry for almost a decade before moving up to the North. She starred alongside Aamir Khan in the Hindi remake of Ghajini in 2008.
Her last film was All Is Well, released in 2015, after which the actor tied the knot with the owner of Indian tech giant Micromax in 2016. Asin quit acting after her marriage.
The couple were blessed with a girl child, Arin, in 2017. She had won three Filmfare awards, SIMA award, and IIFA award during the course of her acting career. She was also awarded the Kalaimamani Award.
