Lucknow Court Issued Arrest Warrant Against Dancer-Politician Sapna Choudhary
The tickets of the show were sold both online and offline for Rs 300 per ticket. The show was to be held on October 13, 2018, between 3 PM and 10 PM at Smriti Upwan in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
An arrest warrant against dancer Sapna Choudhary was issued by a court in Lucknow for allegedly cancelling her performance without returning the money of the ticket holders. The court has directed that the arrest should be made by November 22, which is the next date of court hearing for the case.

The decision on the arrest was made by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Shantanu Tyagi on November 17, yesterday. Since the court is slated to frame the charges against Chaudhary, her presence will be needed for the upcoming hearing.
Sapna Choudhary is popularly known as the desi queen and is a renowned face in Haryanvi music. She is also a television personality, who had appeared mostly in folk dance videos. The 30-year-old is from Rohtak in Haryana and in 2018, she was the most searched personality on Google.
Case against Sapna Choudhary
The first-person report was filed against Chaudhary on October 14, 2018, under the Ashiyana police station. The report stated that the dancer had allegedly not turned up to a scheduled show. Thousands of people had come to watch the show. But when the dancer did not show up, the crowd created a ruckus and many alleged that their money for the ticket which was Rs. 300 was not returned to them.
Other than Chaudhary, the case was also registered against programme organisers- Amit Pandey, Junaid Ahmad, Naveen Sharma, Iwad Ali and Ratnakar Upadhya.

A case was also registered against Choudhary for cheating a celebrity management firm for over four crore rupees at the Economics Offences Wing of Delhi Police. The case includes misappropriating funds and violating the terms of the agreement. The complaint was filed by Pawan Chawla, the Director of P&M Movies Pvt Ltd. The complaint included Choudhary not showing up for a performance in Lucknow and according to Chawla, she allegedly took money citing a medical emergency and repayment of a home loan.
