Siblings Arjun-Anshula Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor Test Positive For COVID-19

Film fraternity members and cousins Arjun Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor have tested positive for COVID-19, reports said Wednesday. Arjun's sister Anshula and Rhea's husband Karan Boolani too have tested positive. All of them are reportedly quarantining and have asked those who came in contact with them to get themselves tested.

The report comes on the day of Anshula Kapoor's birthday. Only hours prior, her brother Arjun shared a post for her day, writing, "Stay happy, always smile & remember Mom & I got your back no matter what..." There has been no public statement from the Gunday actor on his health update.

According to ETimes, brothers Anil and Boney Kapoor have tested negative for COVID-19. Actor Malaika Arora, who is in a relationship with Arjun Kapoor, will reportedly also be tested for the virus.

Arjun Kapoor had tested positive for the virus last year in September as well.

This is the second Kapoor film family to be hit by COVID-19, as the national count of cases continues to rise under the grip of the Omicron variant and fears of a third wave. Kareena Kapoor Khan tested positive for the virus earlier this month, following multiple dinners in Mumbai with her friends. Amrita Arora, Malaika's sister, who was also present at these gatherings was infected.

Mumbai's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had sealed and sanitised Kapoor's house amid allegations that the actor's family members were not cooperating with officials. Read more. She is mother to two sons Taimur and Jehangir, and is married to actor Saif Ali Khan.

Soon after, reports surfaced that Maheep Kapoor (who is part of Anil Kapoor's family through marriage with his brother Sanjay) and Seema Khan, famous for appearing on Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, also tested positive for COVID-19.
