Ardh trailer was released today. Starring the veteran comedy actor Rajpal Yadav and actor Rubina Dilaik, the film is about a man who wants to become an actor and lives with his wife and children in the shoddiest house in Mumbai, the city of dreams. The film will also mark television actor Dilaik's debut on an Over-The-Top (OTT) platform.
The two minutes 12 seconds trailer begins with an overview of a space packed with tiny, square houses and narrow, gloomy lanes. Like most films, the camera focuses on the footwear of the protagonist, indicating it to be a woman's slipper. It slowly moves to the face of the protagonist who is wearing a saree and wig with a face decked up in make-up.
The protagonist's name is Shiva, played by Rajpal Yadav. He is a man who dresses up as a woman to collect money at the traffic signals on the roads of Mumbai. Apart from conning, he desires to be an actor. But in the city where people with dreams hope to turn them into reality someday, Yadav is struggling like hundreds around him.

Dilaik plays the role of his wife. She helps him get ready every day and supports him in his struggle. Yadav who is known to have the best comedic timing is not just funny in the trailer but also portrays a more serious and a dark look as he struggles through the demands of different people. The film is written and directed by Palash Muchhal. It is produced by Pal Music and Films. The voice-over of the film has been done by actor Jackie Shroff.

The film is going to premiere on Zee5 on June 10 this year.
