Luka Chuppi actor Aparshakti Khurana announced that he and his wife Akriti Ahuja are expecting their first child via a social media post. The actor shared a monochrome picture of him and his wife, in which Khurana is seen kissing the baby bump of his wife as she smiles.
The actor captioned the picture writing, "Lockdown me kaam to expand ho nahi paya, humne socha family hi expand kar lete hain (We could not expand work in the lockdown, so we decided to expand our family) #preggeralert."

The post which received more than 60k likes in a couple of hours is flooded with congratulatory comments for the couple. Akriti Ahuja also posted the picture from her Instagram handle, writing, "Doing our bit to add to this Baby Boomer generation :) #PreggerAlert" The couple got married in September 2014 after reportedly meeting at a dance class for the first time.
The reports of Khurana and Ahuja expecting a baby first surfaced in March this year. "Aparshakti Khurana and his wife Aakriti are expecting their first child. The baby is expected to arrive in September, and their family is extremely happy for the couple. They can’t wait to welcome the newest addition in their family," a source close to the couple had said.
Who is Aparshakti Khurana?
A former radio jockey, Aparshatki Khurana made his Bollywood debut with the 2016 film Dangal and has featured in several movies like Luka Chuppi, Stree, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Bala and many more. He was previously seen in Remo D'Souza's dance film Street Dancer 3D.
Khurana will next be seen in his first lead role in the film Helmet alongside Pranutan Bahl, which will be a satirical film on the ground reality of usage of condoms in our country. The film will talk about people feeling awkward while buying and talking about condoms in a quirky way. The film will be helmed by Satram Ramani and will also feature actors Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma in key roles.
