Oh Mai!: Anushka Sharma Announces New Netflix Series

Anushka Sharma Mai: Anushka Sharma took to Instagram to share the first look of her upcoming series named Mai.

The actor posted a picture from the show and wrote, " I’m excited to announce our Netflix original series, Mai, that follows timid Sheel into an entanglement with crime and politics that will forever change her and the world she inhabits." This is yet another series produced by her banner Clean Slate Filmz which she runs along with her brother Karnesh Sharma.

Giving the audience a hint of what the show is going to be about, Sharma introduced her female lead as a "47-year-old wife and mother". Judging by the information made public, Sharma's Mai is going to be a female-led thriller.  The protagonist will be played by the popular face of Indian television Sakshi Tanwar. Tanwar was last seen in the famous Bollywood film Dangal when she played the role of Aamir Khan's wife and mother two main female leads of the film.

Other stars mentioned by Sharma were Atul Mongia, Raima Sen and others. Anushka Sharma recently celebrated the anniversary of her film Pari which was one of the first few films produced by her and Karnesh Sharma under the Clean Slate Filmz banner.
